A Wholesale Buyer's Checklist for Choosing a Kratom Supplier

Choosing a kratom supplier is a long-term decision. Before you commit, work through this checklist.
First, confirm the company harvests in-house and controls the supply chain. Middlemen add cost and quality risk, and make a consistent COA harder to guarantee.
Second, review the pricing tiers you will actually pay at your order volume. Ask for the tier table and compare per-kilogram prices at the quantities you realistically order.
Third, check the reshipment policy. International orders occasionally get held at customs. A supplier that reships free of charge — without lengthy arguments — protects your inventory plan.
Fourth, request documentation ahead of time. Shipping from Indonesia requires export paperwork that should be prepared by the exporter, not improvised at the last minute.
Fifth, test a small order first. Even a 5 kg trial tells you about packaging quality, grind texture, moisture and aroma far better than any marketing page.
Beyond the core checks, sampling policy deserves its own conversation. Does the supplier offer a sample program that credits the cost toward your first order, or do you pay full price? How many grams or kilos are included, and can you request samples of several strains in the same shipment? A supplier that makes sampling easy is confident in the product; one that pushes you toward bulk commitment before evaluation is not.
Shipping timelines are just as important as the material itself. Ask how long production and dispatch take for your order volume, which couriers are used for your region, and what the expected delivery window is once the box leaves Indonesia. A clear timeline lets you schedule your own stock and promotions realistically instead of guessing.
Finally, agree on payment terms and minimum order quantities in writing. Most exporters accept standard international wire transfers, and many offer small starting quantities for first-time buyers before moving to a fixed minimum. Watch for suppliers that demand unusual payment methods, quote prices far below the market average, or refuse to put the reshipment and testing commitments in a written agreement — those are the clearest red flags in this industry.
A supplier that passes all five checks — and answers the sampling, shipping and payment questions openly — is worth building a relationship with.
